One of our most favorite Rottweiler friends is often trotting around town at various nursing homes, doing what he does best -- therapy. He often gives joy and kisses to those in need. Now he has received the well-deserved recognition for everything he is doing!
Once again, our doggy friend Chopper made headlines. He has been recognized by the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, as he's in the Minnesota Animal Hall of Fame! Here is a link to their web site, and all about this special nomination: Our dear friend, Pat Kinch, gets Chopper out and about regularly, and they both greatly enjoy their visits to hospitals, nursing homes and local libraries for the R.E.A.D. program for children. They have also often been on television doing all they can to promote animal therapy. Chopper is an awesome representative of the Rottweiler. In many U.S. states, including Minnesota, legislators are attempting to ban our beloved Rottweilers, in addition to several other wonderful canine breeds. We can't say thanks enough to Chopper for all he is doing to help us all in promoting the Rottweiler. It was a wonderful day, even though typical Minnesota February weather. None of us cared as we rode in to the much anticipated event. The roads were icy and dicey, but Chuck handled it well. Chopper is owned by our dear friends, Pat and Chuck Kinch. He is also owned by his breeder, Audrey Stipe (Greatheart Rottweilers), another dear friend of ours.
Chopper received his award in February 2008, here are some photos of this wonderful event. He was able to get many congratulations from his friends, and even his buddy Sean came along!
Here are videos of the award: Video of Award Chopper Gives Thanks! Check our Candids Gallery for even more photos!
A big CONGRATULATIONS with Hugs and kisses from all of us to you! The Chapmans |
